GALLERY  WHISTLE THUMBNAILS Artist's comment: I'm mostly pleased with this color, although I was hoping for more of an olive color. I ended up with "uneven khaki" which takes some getting used to. I do like the carved star decoration around the tonehole/eye and the upward flip of the tail. The belly, waterspout, and right eyelid --you can almost see it in this view-- are painted a much lighter green. --mm

WHISTLE #040: CRYSTAL Crystal thinks that the two greatest scientific contributions in the past one hundred years are the space station, which looks pretty from underwater, and glitter, which looks pretty on her, if she can get it to stay on. If anyone has designed an underwater adhesive that doesn't cause her to break out and has an SPF rating of 50 or higher, please contact her. Until then, she'll just keep drawing in the lines around her eyes with octopus ink when her Dad isn't looking.
