WHISTLE THUMBNAILS

Artist's comment:
I liked the way both the waterspout and the tail arched and curved in an exaggerated way. The grooves on the left eyelid reminded me of the lines on a chameleon's eye, and so the whistle got its name. The light blue color will work well for many aquatic creatures,

WHISTLE #049: CAMILLE

Camille watches sea birds a great deal. If she lived on land, she would certainly have heard of a very famous story about a very famous seagull. She probably would have attempted to memorize the story. She is aware of 3,451 different species of bird, though her teachers aren't exactly sure whether she's counting the birds or classifying them. Still, it keeps her out of trouble. She is constantly singing to herself little rhymes she makes up to remind herself of the birds she's seen. That amount of singing can get on the nerves. But then, she's a whale, and whales are always singing anyway.
