Skills
Excellent sensitivity to and facility with
earthen and oil-based clays, handmade and
commercial papers; good skills with fabrics.
Special interest in exploring the emotional and
sculptural qualities of natural materials, with
sensitivity to complementary textures and edges of
organic forms. Strong skills in papermaking and
screenprinting onto paper and fabrics. Intense
interest in the design, building and reproduction
of molded or hand-sculpted objects using
traditional and industrial materials and processes
such as creating investment models or prototypes;
creating rigid and flexible molds for plasters,
urethane foams and resins, silicones, latex foams,
earthen clays, cement, molten aluminum, and glass;
casting, curing, and finishing processes
appropriate to above materials.
